Are you interested in volunteering for Compassion & Choices of Oregon?
Persons preparing to use legal aid-in-dying often need assistance in addition to friends, family and medical providers. This assistance can be provided by trained Client Support Volunteers.
Working within a team format, Client Support volunteers are the heart of our organization. They are dedicated to empowering individuals at the end of life, making sure they understand all end-of-life options, and advocating for the right to a humane, peaceful death. Volunteers establish ongoing relationships with clients by phone or in person and may attend a hastened death if the client requests. Compassion & Choices provides ongoing and in-depth training in advocating for appropriate end-of-life care, including supporting clients who choose to use Oregon Death With Dignity Act.
Our volunteers come from a wide variety of backgrounds. If you believe in Oregonians’ right to dignity and compassion in end of life care and are willing to learn, we can provide the necessary training to support our clients.

We’d love to come to your home or business, clinic or classroom to speak about legal aid-in-dying. Invite us! As an event host you can introduce Compassion & Choices of Oregon to your community of friends and colleagues.
